Chez Ellie-Marie is one block from the famous, historic St Charles Streetcar Line. This line offers direct access to many attractions and entertainment venues in our city. As you travel on this line, you'll find two historic universities, Tulane and Loyola. They are only ten minutes away from Chez Ellie-Marie. The short distance from our bed and breakfast to the universities is ideal for visiting parents.
Xavier University of Louisiana, another historic university, is also very near.
The St. Charles Streetcar line also takes you to the Historic French Quarter. There you can dine at one of New Orleans' famous restaurants or explore the multitude of antique and gift shops. You'll also have fun learning our city's history, eating at famous restaurants, listening to great music or just being entertained by the uniqueness of the Quarter. The French Quarter encompasses so many attractions you may never want to leave!
